Our baby boy turned one year old today. How we got here so quickly I don't know. It seems like yesterday I was holding my new born son in my arms and then I blinked...now he's one. He is the best little boy a mom and dad could ask for...always happy, always smiling, always so much fun. Everyone in the family adores him. And much to my surprise the girls still fight over who gets to sit by him in the car, that is something I thought would have faded by now. He really has brought an unimaginable amount of joy to our home and I thank my Father in Heaven every day that he sent such a special little spirit to me.He has had may notable accomplishments this past month, but the biggest by far is that he started walking. He took his first steps on christmas day and while it was only 2 little steps that day, now almost 3 weeks later he is getting a little better each day!
We had cupcakes and ice cream to celebrate the special day and will be having family over for lunch on the weekend! It is tradition in our house to let our one year olds get as messy as possible with their birthday cake...the cake and ice ceram are chocolate whenever possible- you get better pictures that way. Devin made the most of the opportunity to make a mess of himself!
